Do Good. Drink Coffee.

On 11th June 2021 Commonfolk partnered with A Good Little Thing, Bussy McBussface, Flock, Mad Ram, Merchant & Maker, Miss Moose, Mylk Bar, Phase Two, The Corner Pantry, Two To Tango and Zarb & Ru to donate $1 from every coffee sold on the day. These funds were sent to Zukuka Bora to purchase a coffee farm in Sipi Falls - which cemented their continued support and investment in the Sipi coffee farming community.

Trust the (coffee) process.

You may not realise but coffee is a small cherry that normally house two coffee seeds (the beans). There is no major commercial use for the coffee cherry so producers must choose how to remove it from the desired seeds. This process can dramatically impact the flavour and character of the resulting coffee. Each producing region has its unique processing styles but as a general rule, there are three main processes used to make specialty arabica coffee — washed, natural and honey.

The Best Wake Up | Zukuka Bora

Phew, so the first fully-fledged harvest season for Zukuka Bora Coffee Company is pretty much done. The green coffee is in a container on its way to Melbourne, and we’ve just had our first delivery of Ugandan-roasted coffee for us to sell domestically. It’s a great time to reflect back on the season.

Uganda Trip August 2015
