Not quite what you’re expecting? Ol’ reliable - the coffee that’s been with us as long as Sam, growing alongside Commonfolk for over a decade - is sadly unavailable. Unfortunately, Minas Hill and Commonfolk were unable to secure the classic Bom Jesus we all know and love. Now we could bore you with you as to why we couldn’t get regular Bom; but let us opt for the positives and why we’ve partnered with Gabriel, Lucas and the rest of the Oliviera family for almost 13 years and you’ve been drinking it in Godfather since day dot. Bom Jesus is a leading example of sustainable and high-quality Brazilian coffee. Recognised as São Paulo’s most sustainable farm and third most in Brazil, its approach balances environmental care with exceptional cup quality. The farm’s scale and innovation ensure nothing is wasted, every single cherry, from top-tier to blend-grade, is valued. This commitment to quality and sustainability is deeply personal, shaped by generations of dedication. Gabriel and Lucas carry that legacy forward with a clear vision for community, environmental responsibility, and excellence. Their values align so closely with ours, making Bom Jesus more than a supplier; it’s a partner in purpose. With that in mind, we couldn’t not get at least one lot this harvest. In lieu of the classic Bom, Bom Jesus Select separated itself as being different and interesting whilst still being a nod to the former. With warming spice and interesting earthy notes, whilst it still garners those classic chocolate and caramel vibes.
