A quintessentially Melbourne coffee blend, paying homage to Mediterranean migrants of the 1950s who yearned for the comforts of home, initiating the city's predilection for coffee and espresso bars. Godfather is classical in its components, a Brazilian and Colombian duplet working in perfect harmony. The Brazilian component is from our partners at Bom Jesus farm in Franca, Alta Mogiana, from whom we have imported coffee since 2013. Together, we are focusing on the future and our shared environmental impact, moving to 1 tonne bags and reducing hessian and plastic waste, understanding that there is always room for systemic improvement. Our Colombian component is from our friend and partner Diego Campos, the 2021 World Barista Champion. Diego and his wife Derlin purchased a coffee farm in Huila, and sold us some of their first harvest in 2020; working with Diego we have formulated a regional lot specifically for Godfather. Created specifically to be paired with milk, the robust chocolate, sweet caramel and nutty finish mingle to permeate the whole cup. Godfather is overt in its pursuit of sweetness and balance.
Did you know 20c from every kilogram of coffee roasted and every cup sold goes to The Cup That Counts.
