The Young Blood blend was a rebellious way to challenge the dogmatic and rigid coffee thinking that prevailed in the early 2010’s. “You can’t blend two Ethiopian coffees together” or “Blends can’t be for filter coffee” were two things we often came across when trying to pioneer as a young Commonfolk in the wide world of coffee. Slowly the coffee industry has caught up, unbunched its underwear and is now embracing innovative ideas. So as the industry has changed the need for the rebellious coffee blend, we can now retire the Young Blood mantle and launch New Blood, which is a platform for our newest Folkers to express themselves. Each version of New Blood will be curated by one of the team; an opportunity to do something unique and fun each time the blend requires a tweak. You can read up on the current version online via this QR code and learn a little about the person who created the blend and the vision and flavour notes. You can be assured each coffee component will be either one of our direct partnership coffees or a spot purchase from our trusted importer friends.
Enjoy New Blood at our Commonfolk venues as our house batch brew or grab a bag for home.
