Grasiela Maris is an incredible woman—an entrepreneur, farmer, coffee producer, and mother. She has been partnering with our Brazilian importers, Minas Hill, to help coordinate the smaller producers of the Montequelta region in the state of Minas Gerais, curating exceptional microlots of coffee. Grasiela also runs her family’s Ouro Verde Farm, producing truly outstanding coffee herself. Last year, we had the pleasure of meeting Grasiela in person and visiting her home just outside the town of Lambari, in the heart of Montequelta. Aside from enjoying a delicious cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking vista, we loved the juxtaposition of the rolling hills and the kids’ bikes—a glimpse into the real lives of the people who grow the coffee we love. This microlot is a naturally processed Yellow Catucaí that offers a vibrant and complex cup. Layers of hazelnut praline, pain au chocolat and luscious cloudy apple, are complimented by subtle notes of lavender. Imported through our partners at Minas Hill.
Did you know 20c from every kilogram of coffee roasted and every cup sold goes to The Cup That Counts.
